The myth of multistakeholder government

Although everybody talks about multistakeholde in ICANN, I have seen it only in the GNSO, and in the Council there is a disbalance between contractual and non contractual parties.

The other SOs and ACs have no multistakeholder organization, neither the NRO or the regional registries.

So, considering ICANN as a whole, multistakeholder participation is very limited and covers not a big part of it.

If we are going to have a real multistakeholder decision making, it should be accross all the organization and with some kind of equilibrium between the different constituencies.

Another point to have in consideration is the representativeness of the differente constituencies. ICANN should make an effort to insure a balance geographical representation in the different constituencies, or at least in their representatives.
